  • The Artists’ House is a creative retreat space designed for artists, writers, and makers to find inspiration, focus on their craft, and recharge. Whether you're looking for a solo retreat, a group getaway, or a venue to host your own retreat, our space offers a peaceful, art-filled environment perfect for creativity and relaxation.

  • We are located at 2 Townley Street in the small village of Nottawa, Ontario, CA. 5 minutes south of Collingwood, one block east of County Road 124 and just 5 minutes from Georgian Bay.

  • We welcome anyone looking for a creative escape! Whether you're a professional artist, a hobbyist, a writer, a crafter, or someone who simply craves a quiet, inspiring space, the Artists’ House is for you. A stay at the Artists’ House is all about creativity, rest, and inspiration. You can work independently, join workshops, or gather with like-minded creatives. The atmosphere is supportive and peaceful, with plenty of space to focus on your art, writing, or craft.

  • We offer beautifully designed, art-inspired rooms for individuals and groups. Our home is a restored 165-year-old wood frame house with original flooring, wood trim and high ceilings.  Beautiful gardens surround the house and art studio on 1.5 acres of spectacular mature shade trees. Several outdoor seasonal sitting areas invite relaxation, sketching, writing and contemplation.

    There are two bedrooms upstairs and a spacious master bed-sitting room downstairs. Relax with self-care using the available massage table. Comfortable living room with TV, stereo, games and dining area for 4. Intimate kitchen island for two with comfortable bistro seating.  Our spacious walk-in pantry is stocked with food basics. New stainless steel gas range and large french-door fridge.  New 3-piece bathroom with body wash, hair products and more provided. Laundry room with large capacity front loading washer and gas dryer . Ample parking for two cars. Deck, patio, BBQ , outdoor dining and fire pit available. WiFi.****

  • We offer a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering. For group retreats, we can arrange catering upon request.

  • Sorry, but we are not completely wheelchair accessible.

  • Full refund at least 14 days before check in.

  • If you're a workshop leader, coach, or creative professional looking to host a retreat, we offer space rentals and support for organizing your event. Contact us to discuss availability and pricing.
