Write the Flash in Flash Fiction Writing

Saturday April 19
Time: 1pm-5pm

Instructor Kelly Watt

Description: Flash prose or fiction is a new and popular genre that is often defined as fictional work of radical brevity, that still contains character and story development. It’s divine and deeply personal. But how do you write flash? In this workshop, Watt will provide a series of fun writing exercises to stimulate the use of wild metaphor and simple story while cultivating surprise. Participants will practice reading and performing their work out loud. The workshop will conclude with a list of places to send your flash fiction pieces for publication.
